I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, which gives me a strong sense of Canadian identity. At home, however, I am deeply connected to my Arabic heritage. Being fluent in both English and Arabic is a point of great pride for me, as it allows me to navigate and appreciate two rich cultures.
I would describe myself as a friendly, respectful, and determined person. In my studies, I am committed to doing my best and I try to approach challenges with perseverance. I believe in collaboration, so I enjoy helping my classmates when I can. Above all, I have an insatiable curiosity, especially for understanding how things work—which is why topics like computers and technology captivate me.
My family is my foundation. The time I spend with my father and siblings is invaluable to me. Our home is filled with Egyptian and Arabic traditions, from the way we celebrate holidays to the traditional foods we share at the table. This culture has instilled in me core principles: the importance of respect, kindness, and generosity toward others.
The values that are most important to me are respect, honesty, and a commitment to helping others. My beliefs and my family’s guidance have taught me the strength in patience and the importance of integrity—doing the right thing simply because it is right. I also hold education in the highest regard, seeing it not just as a requirement, but as the essential tool I will use to build a meaningful future.
After high school, my plan is to pursue higher education in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. My ambition is to become a skilled professional in this field, whether as an engineer or a programmer, so I can design innovative technology, solve complex problems, and create a stable future for myself and my family. I am excited to take university courses focused on programming, networking, and cybersecurity to turn this goal into reality.
